Our family first made the move to Iceland in 2018 after several years of prayer and confirmation, the land of Bjarni’s birth. For the first two years our home was in Akureyri, a town nestled at the end of Eyjafjörður (the Eyja Fjord) in the north of Iceland. We spent that time getting acclimated to life in Iceland, working with a local church, building relationships in the community and saw God bring salvation and healing to many. During that time we also started our weekly radio program with Lindin radio, which eventually grew to two programs, one in English and one in Icelandic. 

In 2020, we moved to Eyrarbakki in the south of Iceland, Bjarni’s hometown and our ministry base. From there, our work continued and expanded into deeper connections with local churches, leading of camps and conferences, engagement in community, and intentional hospitality. Out of the overflow of God’s supernatural guidance and provision, we were able to base out of what we call our Gróðurhúsið (The GreenHouse). This home not only housed our family, but has hosted gatherings, small groups, visiting teams and missionary/ministry workers. Through these efforts and more we saw people encouaraged, supported, saved, healed and set free through the gospel of Jesus Christ. 

After six years, we made a prayerful transition back to Huntsville, Alabama to better support our kids educationally and assist our covering church The Rock Family Worship Center. As the Lord has defined our ministry, we formed Fire and Ice Family, Inc. to further those efforts in Iceland and beyond.
